About 14K Gold Price Per Gram

What this site does, where the data comes from, and why we built it for everyday US gold owners.

What This Site Does

14kGoldPricePerGram.com shows the live 14K gold price per gram in US dollars, updated three times a day from real COMEX and LBMA market data. We also show 10K, 18K, 22K, and 24K prices, and we provide a free melt value calculator so you can find out exactly what any gold piece is worth before buying or selling.

We built this because most gold price sites either show stale data, load slowly on mobile, or bury the one number people actually need — the current per-gram price in plain dollars — behind charts, ads, and jargon. On this site, the answer is on the first screen, every time.

Who This Site Is For

This site is written for everyday Americans who own gold and want a straight answer. Whether you are selling an old ring, buying a chain and want to know if the price is fair, or just curious about what inherited jewelry is worth — this site gives you the data without the noise.

Everything here is written in plain English. No financial jargon. No confusing charts that require a trading background to read. Just the current gold price, what it means for your pieces, and practical guides on buying and selling.

Where the Data Comes From

Our gold prices come from GoldAPI.io, which aggregates real-time spot price feeds from two of the most trusted global gold benchmarks:

  • COMEX (Chicago Mercantile Exchange) — the primary US gold futures market where institutions, dealers, and banks trade gold contracts around the clock.
  • LBMA (London Bullion Market Association) — the international gold pricing authority whose twice-daily fix is used by central banks, refiners, and major dealers worldwide.

Prices displayed on this site are mid-market spot rates. They do not include any dealer buy/sell spread, premium, or commission. The number you see is the raw market rate for pure gold, converted to 14K purity and expressed per gram in US dollars.

How Often Prices Update

We fetch a fresh price three times per day — at approximately 6:00 AM, 2:00 PM, and 10:00 PM UTC. Between updates, pages serve from a recent cached price with a visible timestamp so you always know exactly how current the number is. This three-times-daily schedule reflects the major gold market sessions: the London open, the New York session, and the after-hours close.

Our Commitment to Accuracy

We take data accuracy seriously. Every price displayed on this site traces back to institutional-grade market data feeds used by professional gold traders. We do not estimate, round aggressively, or show prices that are more than eight hours old without a clear “cached” label on the widget.

If you ever notice a price that looks significantly off from other reputable sources like Kitco or APMEX, please contact us. We investigate every report and correct errors quickly.

What This Site Is Not

This site is an information resource, not a gold dealer, broker, financial advisor, or investment service. We do not buy or sell gold. We do not provide personalized investment advice. The prices shown are for reference only and should not be used as the sole basis for any buying or selling decision without independent verification from a licensed dealer.
